Devendra Samant brings 28+ years of experience in digital engineering, enterprise architecture, and technology leadership, with deep, hands-on experience in mainframe modernization.
Earlier in his career, he personally led and executed legacy migration programs at Wells Fargo, RMS (Moody’s), and Lloyds UK, working directly across COBOL, DB2/CICS, IMS DB/DC, and JCL, along with mainframe scheduling environments (CTRL-M, CA7) underpinning core trade processing and post-trade systems. Today, as Forward Engineering Architect for Agentic & NextGen Platforms, he is steering that same class of mainframe estate toward AI-augmented modernization, architecting solutions that convert COBOL/DB2/CICS/IMS workloads to Java, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS using AI agents, MCP-based workflows, and RAG-driven reverse-engineering pipelines.
Most recently, as Global Head of Digital Engineering at Apexon, Devendra led practices spanning cloud-native migrations, data platform services, building the service lines and hyperscaler partnerships now applied to Apexon’s mainframe elimination programs. He also spent close to eight years at Risk Management Solutions (now part of Moody’s), including as Sr. Development Manager and Technical Product Manager, architecting metadata-driven, multi-tenant risk analytics and SaaS platforms for the insurance/reinsurance market.
