As Global Practice Head for Agentic AI, Cloud and Engineering at Apexon, Uma leads the practice’s strategy, growth, and P&L. His focus is helping enterprises turn AI ambition into measurable business outcomes, bringing together cognitive architecture and harness engineering to move intelligence into production with the speed, governance, and human judgment required at enterprise scale.
After three decades in technology, one question continues to engage Uma: Why does so much enterprise software never make a meaningful difference to the business? His work is focused on closing that gap by helping enterprises connect intelligence to the systems, decisions, and processes that run their businesses.
Before Apexon, Uma led Cloud Consulting globally at Tech Mahindra, following its acquisition of the cloud venture he had built and scaled. Earlier, he founded and led an integrated healthcare business spanning emergency response through chronic care. At Infosys, Uma led the Life Insurance vertical and oversaw the integration of McCamish, the firm’s first platform acquisition in North America, with responsibility for technology, operations, and client relationships.
Uma holds a B.Tech from IIT Madras and is an Executive Scholar of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with focus in marketing and finance.
